Why intimate weddings are better
Lets talk Micro Weddings
Micro weddings are perfect for creative ideas. You can go as big or small with a micro wedding as you want, but there’s no reason you can’t have all the amazing details; like stunning flowers, you can also splurge on photography or videography because you’re saving money on the food!
At the end of the day, a wedding is just one day, it’s the start of your marriage so enjoy it with those you love the most.
Now that most people are comfortable using Zoom, you can live stream the ceremony for family members and friends who aren’t on the guest list.
If you're planning a micro wedding first and a big wedding celebration at a later date then you could wear something more daring, or colourful, or just a completely different style of wedding dress! I love the idea of a bride wearing a white jumpsuit and heels to their micro wedding! I myself had a micro wedding 5 years ago, followed by a big wedding celebration a few days later and I chose to wear a colourful tea length dress and a traditional wedding dress to our big wedding! Who wouldn't want to wear 2 wedding dresses?!
When you’re planning a micro wedding, you might not want a DJ, but it means you can be splurge in other areas. You could have an open bar, a solo musician to play live music, or cosy drinks by a fireplace.
You could even hire a stylist to create a beautiful setting and transform a space to create Pintrest worthy styling. Have you thought about adding some beautiful hand written calligraphy touches? Or custom edible biscuits for table favours? The opportunities for a micro wedding are endless and you can really focus on those special touches that might have been missed at a large wedding.
You have so much freedom to design your day exactly how you want it so take advantage of that!
